Subject: ACTA documents in the European Parliament's register Date: Thu, 25 Apr 2013 16:12:44 +0200 From: Registre To: Andreas Jonsson Dear Mr Jonsson, Please note that in the reply you received on 15 April it was clearly stated that the European Parliament as an institution does not hold a copy of the question addressed by the Court to the Commission. In examining requests received for access to its documents, Parliament takes into consideration not only those documents included in its electronic register, but also all those documents received by the Institution from third parties. Parliament's Transparency Unit, under the authority of the Secretary-General and the Vice-president in charge of Transparency, is responsible for identifying the documents held by Parliament with a view to public release. The Unit contacts the different services or bodies which are authors or hold the documents in question. In this particular case, after having consulted the services involved, the Transparency Unit established that the Court did not send to the European Parliament a copy of the document requested. Therefore we would advise you, as already suggested in the previous communication, to contact the Commission in order to seek public release of the document requested. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any additional clarification. Yours sincerely, ..............................................................................................................
